Need Scrapbook Paper?

Beware the Seller who makes money off high shipping costs and then has the audacity to leave 3 negatives when I point it out in the 3 positives I left.

You know what? I'm getting so irritated with mean nasty people out there that leave retaliatory feedback for no reason at all. Mean.

The seller is: ebay username: fender5150, ebay store name: Scrap-Things. They sells scrapbooking paper, etc.

I bought three items in the last few weeks. I paid for them immediately but asked first, hey...can you combine shipping? I mean really...I've been on eBay for years and know the game (my other account heather-sky-studio, where I sell my original art) and have really worked hard to make sure that I am commiserate with current shipping costs. Most of the time I've eaten the difference and under charged.

So here I have this other account. I buy some goods, pay for them right away. I leave a positive feedback to the seller, though warn other potential buyers of high shipping costs and no real break. They sent me the package for flat shipping at 9 dollars and charged me 25.

Being that I too live in Washington State (as does this seller) I knew it would not cost anything close to $25 to ship a $9 priority box.

Then they come back and leave me three negatives!!??? WOW!

This seller even lied on the comments and claimed that they had taken $5 off each order when in fact they only took $5 off the three orders combined so they still overcharged me $16 on the shipping.

SEE FEEDBACK HERE

Since they only took $5 off the total order and not each of the three items as they claimed on Ebay's official feedback, then this seller is a liar as well as a rip-off.

Let me get this straight:

I buy their goods
I ask for combine shipping they will only give me 5 off
Ok, I pay for it right away
I get the package wow, it's 9 bucks not the 25 I paid
I leave a POSITIVE feedback, with warning of high shipping.

Then I get three NEGATIVES.

Does this seem retaliatory to you guys? I mean wow...I'm kinda bummed.

*sigh*

Thanks for reading this far. I guess there isn't much I can do but warn people to be very very careful. VERY very careful.

Did I make the point yet to be really aware...and careful.

Follow up::

I've had a small amount of conversation with the seller and they will not withdraw the negative feedback left to me. Never mind they are mean spirited and don't like to be called on their crooked business practice of charging astronomical shipping fees.

I left three positives stating item as described, shipping too high. They retaliated with three negatives. Then just said good luck dealing with eBay, almost knowing nothing will be done. I've reported this...we'll see where it goes. I'm very unhappy that this can even happen.

Details of the transaction etc are above.

Buyers, be very very careful! :-( Bad apples out there.

Since I can't use their seller name on eBay or my eBay blog there (my user name there for my antiques and collectibles -- christine-wasankari)

I CAN do it here.

Do NOT buy from this seller for anything! http://stores.ebay.com/Scrap-Things

Once again...these people are crooked and retaliatory. Be very careful.

One last critical issue is Ebays stupid policy of even allowing a seller to leave a negative feedback in the first place WHEN THE BUYER PAID IMMEDIATELY WITH PAYPAL.

What the hell can be negative about that? Stupid Ebay policy leaving you with no protection against CROOKED SELLERS such as Scrap Things.

And what's really retarded on this sellers part is for the $16 they overcharged me (which I was going to just eat it and move on anyway) AND THE 3 NEGATIVES THIS Jerk LEFT ME.... I guarantee with all the blogs and artist connections I have he will lose much, much more than that in sales. That's my goal anyway.

This is actually the second time a seller left me a negative after we paid immediately with Paypal.

The first one involved my husband buying me a buffalo skull for about $100. The seller never sent it. A couple months of ignored emails later we had to leave a negative as we assumed we had been totally ripped off. That jerk left us a negative which goes back to Ebay being totally retarded with this policy. It should not be possible to get a negative when goods are paid for in advance when buying from unscrupulous sellers. The buffalo guy took off his negative and we did the same which is the only way Ebay lets you wipe it clean. Unfortunately, the buffalo skull guy was a bozo and the buyers should know it to avoid him.

I think the only way we can protect ourselves is to not leave any feedback at all until you receive a positive first. That will be my new policy from here on out.

New February 25th:

I can use this as a running diary. How nice.

Seems the seller is terribly miffed I put this up. Doesn't like the fact that I am pointing this persnickety little problem out. Doesn't like the fact that I put up their personal information either.

Now, lets get something straight. I did not put anything personal up besides the sellers name. Not where they live or what their phone number is. I have just a bit more class than that.

But according to the latest followup feedback by them, you must "beware of christine-wasankari" because I posted their personal information ALL OVER THE WEB.

Hello? What part of personal do you think is really personal? A name, a business? Did I bring anyone down on their home, their phone number? No. So, whatever. All I did was buy some stuff from them. Wow. Paid for it right away too...sort of a dream buyer really. Especially the way doing business on eBay is today. Too bad. It's really a great platform most of the time.

One thing I will be posting here (and everywhere else) is this interesting little coincidence this evening. I had someone come into my other eBay account and buy a painting. No offers, paid full price and right away. Nice thought if it's for real, and maybe it is. But interestingly there was no real communication either. I offered a bit up, but got a one liner back. Maybe it's legitimate, maybe not.

This buyer has just One feedback and is non-verified with PayPal. I'm not a real believer in coincidence so I'm wondering if there isn't a little more retaliatory hanky panky going on or yet to come. Stay tuned. This should be fun.

I don't like games and I don't like bullies. I'm not mean, I'm about the nicest person you could ever meet. But I will not be pushed around. Period. And this person has taken the cake and plain pushed too hard. It was a pretty easy thing to just pull the feedback. But I suspect this might have gone too far for that now. If they weren't willing to do it then, wow I doubt they will do it now.

Let's just go over the facts again.

I buy their goods and pay for them right away. They get to leave me negative feedbacks. Not a good policy. Not at all. And I'm the one whose mean? Right.

Well, I'm also the one who has the freedom to post it to all my art friends, groups and blogs. And yep, there are many.

So the 16 bucks I got ripped (which I was going to take my lumps, no biggy -- until the FEEDBACK issue came into play) has turned out to be poor a decision on their part. One would think anyway. Their tactics of bullying small eBay people (or who they think is small) just might cost them business.

THIS IS ALL ABOUT THE FEEDBACK!

Bad Ebay Seller

Rip Off Update

Charged $24.89 for a $9 (and some change) Flat Rate Priority Box

This seller is such a cowardly liar it's hard to believe. In the last retaliatory comment (after they found out I was speaking the TRUTH about their slimy transaction) they mention that they sent "freebies".

What a load of crap. There were no freebies. Whatever.

All this seller did was overcharge me $16 on shipping and send me the paper. I was nice enough to leave a positive (BIG MISTAKE) because I also mentioned the high shipping.

So this rip-off simpleton comes back and leaves me 3 NEGATIVES because they didn't like me mentioning the overcharging on the shipping.

BUT THE POINT IS! If a buyer (me) pays immediately with PayPal, how on god's green earth can anything be NEGATIVE about that?  Slimy seller and slimy Ebay protocol in the first place.

So I scrolled through their negatives and guess what! This seller is the only negative commenter on lots of buyers who had complained about the un-professional rip-off practices.

What this fool doesn't understand is that I am not a little victim. Sure, I'm a big victim now but I have so many online artist contacts and an eight year good reputation, blogs everywhere...I will delight in costing them LOTS of business by putting the word out.

I am a regular contributor to blogs with lots of scrap-book people. They need to know.

They could have just been INTELLIGENT and taken off the undeserved NEGATIVE feedback they gave because they didn't like what I said about his overcharge on the shipping.

I've also posted the same ad I have on Google on our main website as well as a site for Port Angeles Art.

also...

One of my several Blogs

I have a number of other artists willing to add it to their sites as well.

Since I have absolute proof of this sellers overcharging me, all I am doing is telling the truth so there isn't a damn thing they can do other than make things right.

Here's some more negative feedbacks this seller threw on people: An interesting note here...these buyers all had all positive feedbacks until they dealt with this seller.

So a powerseller with tons of feedback doesn't look as bad with 33 negatives as a small time ebay buyer who only has 30 feedbacks and one negative.

Bonnie Taylor gave him a negative feedback "not much for the money could have bought it cheaper at michaels"

so they leave this one.

...............................

Buyer, vangosen2007 leaves him a negative:

"It was not huge...thats false advertisement..."

so he counters with "PAIN TO DEAL WITH TOOK FOREVER TO PAY AVOID THIS EBAYER"

...................................

Out of 43 feedbacks, the only negative for this buyer

daddypistachio  also came at the hands of "Scrap-Things"

Can't believe I pd $26 for this paper. Got stuck w/stripes & poca weighs less than...

......................................

Here's another one with the only negative coming from the seller: hoage433

......................................

There were a number of mutually withdrawn feedbacks, which, had I left a negative as some people might have about the high shipping I could have had the same leverage. The mistake I made was leaving a positive but adding a comment about the shipping being high. I can't change mine and this unethical, retaliatory seller refused to withdraw theirs.
